Knowing what to do in unfamiliar situations can be devastating for your organisation. With over 25 years of crisis management experience we can help organisations develop their crisis management strategy.

RISK AUDITS

By undertaking a risk audit we can significantly enhance your crisis strategy. Clients can benefit from our wide range of cross-industry experience whilst we quickly develop an understanding of your organisation, and probe key staff to identify where the risks exist in your operations and how these risks are best addressed. Our audit report will detail how to improve your strategy for enhancing your crisis response plans.

CRISIS PLANS

User-friendly crisis plans are the bedrock of any organisation's crisis management structure. In conjunction with your team, we can create your crisis response plans. This process will involve exploring a number of areas within your organisation and will develop from the information gathered during the crisis risk audit.

TRAINING

Ouroboros Consulting have delivered numerous training workshops and simulation exercises. We can provide you with training for your crisis teams to deal with all aspects of managing the incident. This could include a general overview of crisis management or perhaps more specific input for your individual crisis management teams. Workshops including introduction to crisis management, table-top exercises, full scale crisis response exercises, special assistance team development & support and crisis media training.

TESTING

All plans and procedures need to be tested regularly to provide an opportunity to review their effectiveness and further develop them as and where necessary. We find that the best method is to conduct a real-life simulation exercise. These can range from a simple but effective table-top exercise through to a large scale real-time scenario. The exercise will provide an efficient cost-effective means of testing your documented procedures. It will identify significant flaws or omissions in the crisis response plans and procedures, in time to make changes prior to an actual incident.

"Testing leads to failure and failure leads to understanding"

CRISIS INTERVENTION

If your organisation was hit by a significant crisis, how certain are you that your team can make the critical decisions you face quickly and correctly? Where will you find teams of trauma specialists to support your people in the event of serious traumatic incidents? Alistair Cole Consulting can help you 24/7 by acting quickly and decisively at the right time. We all want to do the right thing - but knowing what the right thing is can be difficult, this is where Alistair Cole Consulting can help.

EVC OUTSOURCING

HASPEV set out the principles of good practice, leaving it to teachers’ professional and local judgement how to apply those principles.

Health and Safety: Responsibilities and Powers, which the Department for Children, Schools and Families sent to all schools and local education authorities in 2001, sets out the responsibilities, under Health and Safety law, that employers and employees must meet and the powers, under education law, which help employers to ensure compliance.

With mounting workloads EVC’s can be swamped with requests to approve overseas visits. This is where we can help!

Alistair Cole Consulting can help EVC’s make informed decisions about their visits as well as being able to produce reports on the viability and safety of proposed visits and activities at an affordable rate.

SECURITY AWARENESS

Everyday organisations are exposed to a wide range of operational risks. It is our aim to make our clients as safe as possible and therefore reduce those potential liabilities.

Our staff will work with you to establish what systems you already have in place. We will then examine your operations and address the potential gaps in line with both national and international standards, including BS: 8848, LOtC Quality Badge and the Bridery Act. We will develop a complete safety management system that it is legally compliant and able to withstand scrutiny to external inspection or inquiry. This could include the writing of risk assessments.

Keep up to date with good practice by retaining our services, which can include independent annual checks and table-top exercises.

Statement of Impartiality

Alistair Cole Consulting understands the importance of impartiality and potential conflicts of interests in carrying out its management systems certification activities.

Alistair Cole Consulting has a compliance programme, based on its Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct, to ensure that the highest standards of integrity are applied to all its activities worldwide in accordance with international best practice.

Within Alistair Cole Consulting we conduct risk assessments annually and where required in relation to specific activities or contracts on impartiality and potential conflict of interest relating to accredited certification business. This is reviewed annually by our Director.

Conflict of Interest and objectivity is further covered through annual training sessions and contractually binding agreements, to ensure all management system certification activities are conducted in an independent and impartial manner.

"I have worked with Alistair Cole on a number of projects, including training and auditing of overseas suppliers, and found them, to be exceptionally adept and skilful in all the activities we have worked on together. I would not hesitate in recommending Alistair and his team."
