Our training and consultancy service, involves advising and acting as a technical expert and safety advisor for a range of organisations both within the UK and further afield. 

Many operators running overseas expeditions or travel companies will require access to technical expertise and someone who can guide and assist with operations and the safe running of their organisation.


We are well placed in the industry to offer up-to-date and expert advice, along with reviews of safety management systems.

Our experience includes:
  • Over 30 years working in the expedition industry
  • Managing residential outdoor education centre for 8 years.
  • Full time outdoor instructor for 20+ years
  • Vast experience of working with adults and young people
  • Past Chairman of the Expedition Providers Association
  • Wide range is high level NGB qualifications 
  • Being involved in the creation of the LOtC Quality Badge scheme
  • Course director for various NGB awards
  • Being involved with a wide range of AALA inspections for over 25 years
  • Qualified and experience safety auditors
Services range from:
  • Design and review of risk assessments and operational procedures.
  • Training of staff for activities that either have no NGB or staff do not require to gain a full NGB in order to carry out a role for an organisation.
  • Assessing and signing off staff for competency for either non NGB activities or for staff that are not required to gain a full NGB for a particular activity
  • Development of policies and procedures for AALA licensing purposes
  • Site inspections and safety audits – both in the UK and overseas
  • Development of policies and procedures for LOtC licensing purposes
  • Advising school on the implementation and running of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme
  • PPE equipment inspections
