Water Safety Management provides integrated water safety training solutions. The aim of WSM is to equip staff with the knowledge to understand water hazards and make intelligent and informed judgements.
The focus of the WSM Programme is prevention.
Course are founded on a core generic water safety module, which will include:
- How do people drown (cold water shock etc.)
- Drowning and medical conditions
- Water-Based Risk Assessment (incorporating principles of prevention)
- Understanding NOPs and EAPs
- Selection and use of personal (protective/rescue equipment)
- Principles of Rescue and use of equipment
This course is an entry level and would be suitable for school teachers taking children on a field trip in proximity to water but without any water activity. This module will also be aimed at park rangers responsible for a water space.
